A little bit of timber, a little bit of creativity, with plenty of practical use. Our resin platter boards combine beautiful FSC-certified Acacia wood with hand-poured resin to create something you'll actually want to leave out on display. Using a range of colours and resin techniques, you can create a board that suits your style - whether you keep things soft and subtle or go bold and colourful. Perfect for grazing platters, cheeses, nibbles and entertaining, with plenty of room to put together a spread for sharing. Details: Approximately 50cm x 20cm x 1.5cm and made from FSC-certified Acacia wood. The timber is finished with food-grade oil to help protect and nourish the wood. The resin section is decorative and should not be used as a cutting surface. The natural timber section can be used for cutting if you wish. Practical, beautiful and made by you.

Art for the table, with a practical spin. Our resin Lazy Susans combine beautiful natural bamboo with hand-poured resin to create something that's just as useful as it is good to look at. Using a range of colours and resin techniques, you can create a piece that suits your style and earns a permanent spot in the middle of the table. Perfect for grazing food, sauces, snacks and BBQ favourites - simply give it a spin so everyone can help themselves. They're also surprisingly handy for family game nights. Pop a board game on top and rotate it between turns (especially useful for Scrabble!). Details: Approximately 45cm round and made from high-quality natural bamboo with a smooth spinning base. Made to spin, share and enjoy.

Our resin clocks are created in our Ruakākā and Matamata studios, using a range of colours and resin techniques to turn a practical piece into something worth putting on display. From soft and subtle to bold and colourful, you can create a clock that suits your style and adds a little personality to your space. Details: Approximately 28cm round and made from 4.5mm MDF. Your clock comes with the clock mechanism, hands and numbers needed to complete it. Functional art, made by you.

Perfect for adding a little character to your home, bach or favourite space, especially if you have a soft spot for the sea. The Faces Behind Nomada
Meet the Women Behind Nomada Arts
Nomada Arts was born from a lifelong love of creativity, and a mother-daughter partnership that started long before there was ever a business plan.
Donna and Laura have been creating, dreaming and working on projects together for as long as Laura can remember. From late-night school art projects the night before they were due, to opening an art gallery in the Waikato, and now to building Nomada Arts, there has always been a shared love of making something from nothing.
Donna
Co-Founder · Ruakākā, Northland
Creativity has always been a part of Donna's life. As a teenager, she always had a project on the go. Whether it was decoupage, knitting, sewing, or simply trying her hand at anything crafty that caught her attention.
When her eldest child started primary school more than 30 years ago, Donna began teaching art at the local school. What started as a way to share her creativity soon became a passion for helping others discover theirs. Over the years, her love for arts and crafts continued to grow and evolve, eventually leading her to resin — a medium she absolutely loves.
For Donna, resin is about the flow, the freedom and the surprise. No two pieces are ever quite the same, and she loves watching an idea transform into something completely unique.
But perhaps what Donna loves most is showing people that creativity isn't something you either have or don't have. She believes everyone can create — sometimes they just need someone to give them the confidence to try.
Laura
Co-Founder · Matamata, Waikato
Laura has always followed in her mum's creative footsteps and definitely inherited her love for the arts. So when the idea of creating Nomada Arts as a mother-daughter collaboration came about, there was never really any hesitation.
The two complement each other naturally, both in business and creatively, and share a genuine love for teaching people new skills, trying new things and encouraging others to embrace their creative side.
Based in Matamata, Waikato, with her husband and four children, Laura teaches classes when family life allows, and is excited to continue growing the teaching side of Nomada Arts.
Behind the scenes, Laura is the planner, idea-bouncer and eternal creator of "what if we tried this?" She loves dreaming up new ideas for Nomada, working out how to bring them to life, and of course, bouncing every new idea off her mum.
She couldn't think of a better person to build Nomada Arts alongside.
